A Note from the President

It is with both excitement and anticipation that I announce the new editor of the Journal of Legal Economics. Dr. Michael Nieswiadomy, Professor of Economics, University of Northern Texas was unanimously voted by the A.A.E.F.E. Board of Directors to serve as our new Editor. Michael came highly recommended to us by our Editor Search Committee consisting of Jim Rodgers, Jim Ciecka, and Jack Ward.

Michael will assume full responsibilities including serving as Editor, supervising peer review of papers, preparing camera ready text for print by Allen Press with an assistant, producing a minimum of two issues of the JLE/year, chairing the Board of Editors and selecting its members, sitting as a member of the AAEFE Board of Directors, ex officio, attending the annual AAEFE meeting, handling paper solicitation and coordination, handling negotiations with printer, managing membership and subscriber mailing lists with the assistance of the AAEFE Secretary, managing requests for back issues and papers, working with the AAEFE webmaster to devise content and function for a JLE webpage with subscription and membership functionality, and supervising the work of a graduate assistant to be provided by the University of North Texas.

Michael is a respected author in his own right with an excellent publication record. …
