Generous Colleagues

Our colleagues in library and information science and related fields contribute to the Journal of Education for Library and Information Science (JELIS) in many generous ways. For example, colleagues sometimes step forward to serve as guest editors of a themed issue. Such was this case with the first issue of this volume, devoted to the topic of online education in library and information science (LIS) and ably edited by Lydia Harris, Michelle M. Kazmer, and Lorri Mon. Following that was an issue focusing on LIS education in Europe, edited by the dynamic duo of Leif Kajberg and Leif Lørring.

The refereeing of manuscripts requires the participation of many scholars already burdened with too many tasks to accomplish in too little time. Without their willingness to take on one more task and one more deadline, JELIS would not be sustainable. Referees' thoughtful comments, questions, and recommendations help authors prepare better versions of their work for publication. We are all indebted to referees, in spite of-or maybe because of-the extra effort their comments and suggestions require-or inspire-us to undertake. Our appreciation goes to the following individuals who evaluated at least one manuscript during this volume year. …
