Given the authority of the authors, it is not surprising for this book to cover these vital male health issues so well. The book includes extensive examination of male medical conditions and would be valuable reading for all health professionals and workers in this field. Most of the issues surrounding men's health are addressed without resorting to jargon (well, almost always). This book is written in the Radcliffe style that characterizes its excellent publications.

If I had to take issue it would be over the omission of certain public health issues. Indeed, much of the content would be at home in a medical text book rather than within the public health arena. Controversy over circumcision and possible protection from HIV is notably missed, along with erectile dysfunction being the cardinal sign for cardiovascular disease. This is hugely important given the inexorable rise in sales of PDE5 inhibitors on the web. Not only do the men buying these drugs get an unknown product (the vast majority are fake), they are denied definitive diagnosis of the underlying condition such as diabetes and hypertension. …
