Mission Life

I have been in a number of missions in my lifetime, a life that was and had been taken, taken without a word that I cannot put into words, all the words were taken from a young boy's cry, a cry that a lot of mothers and fathers had heard that I feel, that still lingers in their minds on that one day that will never leave them.

The Native Welfare took young boys and girls from their mothers and fathers to a life that is and was hard to us and our family. I have heard stories from now young men and women of what has happened in the missions and I know what has happened cause I was one of hundreds and thousands of young boys and girls in them days.

I feel that today's young men and women that has been on that road knows that we will never let our children go on that same road that was a nightmare to us and most of all our mothers and fathers. How must they had felt back then and also now after they see us grown up. I know that they do not want to live that life no more and I do not want my children going on that same road that was HELL to me and many more like myself. …
