This large festival piece was arranged for the 2006 Catholic Festival of Faith in Chicago. That gathering brought together people of diverse cultures and backgrounds. It was desired for the event to incorporate music from different traditions that could be easily sung by people of all ages and experiences.

Composer Tony Alonso suggests that this piece would be appropriate for important gatherings of a multicultural parish, such as the dedication of a church, installation of a new pastor, or Pentecost. The first three pieces would be used as a call to worship or prelude, followed by "All Are Welcome" in its entirety; this gathering song flows direcdy out of the interlude that follows "Plenty Good Room."

Mr. Alonso also recommends having a good percussionist who has a grasp of the transitions in styles from piece to piece. …
