How long have you been working in libraries?

I have been the school library clerk for 10 years. I am currently taking online classes to achieve my Library Technician Certificate.

What was your first job?

My first job was a Library Clerk at Bernard Constant Community School. I was hired short term library clerk when I was 19.

Describe your first library job.

I fell in love with my library job. I discovered how much information there was in the library, and I was a little apprehensive with all the information that was needed by other people from the library, and I jumped into it full swing. I just loved helping people find information that they needed. I also recommended books for all age groups, which is a highlight of my job.

If you weren't a librarian/library worker, what would you be and why?

I f I weren't a library clerk, I would be a teacher. I love working with children and I am amazed by their curious minds.

What do you like best about your current job?

I love helping people find information and reading books to younger students and recommending books for the older students. I also enjoy gaining more information on how to better the library.

Describe your favorite conference experience.

I can remember I went to a conference in Saskatoon and met a couple of authors. The authors were Eric Walters and Diane Swanson and they are awesome. …
