A history of the first 25 years of the National Institute of Nursing Research is now online at tion/NINRPublications/History. Written with the assistance of historians and nurse scientists and based on oral histories and archived documents, NINR: Bringing Science to Life explores how nursing science has progressed since 1985, when health care practice was guided less by scientific discovery than by tradition and trial and error.

Cycling for Scholarships

Wound, ostomy, and continence nurses are retiring in great numbers, just as the number of patients requiring their care increases. To create awareness and raise support for the WOCN Society Foundation Scholarship Program, 72-year-old Dr. Katherine Jeter is cycling across the country.
