The Toolbox article in this issue is by Willard Horn, "The Cluster Sensitivity Index: A Basic Measure of Classification Robustness." This article presents an approach to establish peer groups in terms of comparing institutional performance across like colleges. The literature review abstracts compiled by Eddy Ruiz, graduate student at University of California Los Angeles, are on the timely topic of " Comparing Across the Six Accrediting Agencies in Terms of Impact on Community Colleges" and include citations for research and resource materials which explore the pros and cons of college accreditation through qualitative and quantitative methods, but also highlight the dearth of accrediting agency case study research that would allow for comparisons across agencies. …
