President's Message

This issue of the Energy Law Journal (ELJ) truly touches on issues of current import to the energy industry. It covers topics as diverse as the use of social media by the utility industry, the legal issues associated with the use of plug-in electric vehicles, and the groundwater claims arising from the production of natural gas in the Marcellus Shale. All of these subjects are currently making headlines in the general media, showing just how closely the ELJ tracks emerging issues in our industry. Moreover, we have a large number of committees of the Energy Bar Association that have contributed reports to update you on events in their respective subject matter areas. Our authors, editors, committees, and the students at the University of Tulsa who labored to produce this issue should all be praised for their hard work. It takes many hours and many hands to put an ELJ issue together.
