A Message from the Editor

Welcome to the annual special issue for the Journal of Applied Management and Entrepreneurship. This year, our theme is Management History. You will read an overview of the six articles and one executive interview in the next editorial from Special Issue Editors Shawn Carraher and John Humphreys. I want to thank Drs. Carraher and Humphreys for all their hard work in putting together this interesting and thought-provoking issue. They are both long-time members of our Editorial Board and I am proud to work with them.

I also want to thank our Book Review Editor, Bahaudin Mujtaba for providing five outstanding book reviews to round out the July 201 1 issue. First, Arthur Bell and Dayle Smith's book, Learning Team Skills is reviewed by Lam Nguyen. Bell and Smith's book examine the common issues why teams fail combined with integrating exercises that help the reader put the information to practical use. Next, Belai Kaifi reviews Sun Tzufor Women: The Art of War for Winning in Business by Becky Sheetz-Runkle who takes the essentials of The Art of War and applies them as a guide for women in Corporate America. …
