President's Message

Article excerpt

This edition of the Energy Law Journal (ELJ) continues to bring to you a wide breadth of topics that allows energy practitioners to keep up with the various changes within the energy law practice. From addressing how Mobile- Sierra is being applied under settlements, to how fossil fuel capacity is being addressed, and how hydroelectric facilities are being considered in energy portfolios, this volume allows the practitioner to grow. A special thank you goes out to the authors, editors, committees, and the students at the University of Tulsa who labored to produce this edition of the ELJ.

We invite those practitioners who are not members of the Energy Bar Association to join and participate in the Association and its committees and chapters. We invite existing members to bring in new members to benefit from the various brown bags, numerous committees, and meetings. As an added benefit of your membership, the Association continues to expand its web presence by creating more interactive opportunities, including creating a resource for continuing legal education credits based on the programs offered by the Association.

Please be sure to mark your calendars and participate in the upcoming Mid- Year Meeting on December 1, 2011. …
