July 23: Tens of thousands of Israelis took to the streets of Tel Aviv protesting against rising housing prices and social inequalities in Israel. Protestors pitched tents and camped out in cities across Israel. In response, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu pledged to address the housing problem with reforms. [AFP, 7/23]

July 24: France approved the purchase of Israeli-made drones for the first time in more than 40 years, since former French President Charles de Gaulle placed an embargo on weapons sales to Israel. The ban led to Israel's long-time purchasing of American fighter jets. This was the first sale of the Heron TP unmanned aerial vehicle to a foreign country. [Haaretz, 7/24]

July 26: Prime Minister Netanyahu's proposal to solve the housing crisis was rejected by thousands of housing activists who continued to rally throughout several Israeli cities, from Jerusalem to Ashdod to Haifa. Protesters in Tel Aviv blocked roads, demanding that justice be served and claiming that Netanyahu's measures sought to divide the protestors. [Haaretz, 7/26]

July 30: Over 100,000 Israelis took to the streets for the third and largest round of protests against skyrocketing housing prices. Nazareth saw the first protests in which Jewish and Arab citizens marched together. …
