On October 28-29, the 14th Annual Conference of the International Center for the Study of Psychiatry and Psychology (ICSPP) was held at the Double Tree by Hilton hotel in Los Angeles. The conference marked the transition to a new name for the organization. The new name is the International Society for Ethical Psychology and Psychiatry (ISEPP). ISEPP will continue as the major sponsor of Ethical Human Psychology and Psychiatry (EHPP).

ISEPP is a nonprofit 501 (c3) research and education network focusing on the critical study of the mental health movement. The society is primarily a network of professionals and individuals concerned with the impact of mental health theories and practices on individual well-being, personal freedom, and societies in general. The membership of ISEPP includes psychiatrists, psychologists, professional clinical counselors, social workers, academic researchers, educators, lawyers, psychiatric survivors, concerned family members, other mental health professionals, and advocates. The organization's mission includes informing the media, the public, and fellow professionals regarding the risks entailed in the modern psychiatric regime.

The presentations at the annual conference reflected the broad scope of the ISEPP mission. Topics included the following:
