IN AN EFFORT TO BE INCLUSIVE, Arkansas history has been broadly defined in the compilation of this bibliography. Some materials, such as genealogical or local history society journals, government documents, and nonprint productions, have been omitted. Some older material that did not appear in an earlier year's bibliography is included. The Arkansas Historical Quarterly is cited as AHQ.
