A collection of twelve essays on the York mystery plays, with a focus on performance, drawing on both recent scholarship and practical production experience. The volume originated in a conference focused on performing the mystery plays, and bringing together both practitioners and academics, in 2007. The contributions of local practitioners are edited from transcripts of their presentations. Essays cover a wide range of topics. Richard Beadle considers the manuscript and its links with Richard of Gloucester and Nicholas Lancaster (Common Clerk). Sheila K.
