This year all the financial records of NACTA were transferred to QuickBooks (2001) accounting software. A local accounting firm, Reincke & Mayes, provided help in setting up the financial records for NACTA. So that an accurate assessment of NACTA's financial standing can be given at the annual conference in June each year, the accounting year for NACTA ends on May 31.

A detailed profit and loss printout is available for anyone. (Copies were provided to the Executive Committee and the Audit Committee.) For the purpose of this report, the highlights are included in the following table. Note numbers in the table are rounded to nearest whole number.

A detailed profit and loss statement from QuickBooks for NACTA shows NACTA with a net income of $7,154.00; however we should remember the conference income from Saskatchewan is exceptional and for the year NACTA still owes the Foundation $5.00 for each member ($3025.00 for 2001).

This year membership dues were lumped in the accounting records. Next year individual membership payments will be tracked with the QuickBooks software which has the ability to send out invoices for mailing or e-mailing. …
