With this double- issue of Restoration and Eighteenth-Century Theatre Research, I begin my tenure as an Editor of the journal. I have been lucky enough to work with Jessica Munns, the journal's Editor-in-Chief, in several venues ever since my first year of doctoral study at the University of Denver. I also served, while at DU, as an Assistant and later an Associate Editor of RECTR, from 2007 to 2009. Now, as an Assistant Professor of English at Valdosta State University, it is an honor to be invited back to work on RECTR, this time as an Editor.

My area of expertise lies in Restoration and eighteenth-century literature, specifically drama. Currently, my research focuses on depictions of sexual violence in late seventeenth- and eighteenth-century literature, and I have two book projects- one a monograph and one an edited volume-in the works on this topic. In addition to editing RECTR, I serve as a member of the editorial teams of two journals: ABO: Interactive Journal for Women in the Arts, 1640-1830 and Appositions: Studies in Renaissance I Early Modern Literature & Culture. …
