WE AL L ENJOY SHARING FOOD, COF FEE, AND STORIES AROUND OUR KITCHEN TABLES . IN FACT, THE KITCHEN I S MOST OFTEN THE VENUE OF CHOICE FOR GATHERINGS OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

Those of you hungry for an understanding of scholarly publishing (no doubt, all of you who read this journal) will want to stop in the Scholarly Kitchen for sustenance. The Scholarly Kitchen (http://scholarlykitchen.sspnet.org) is a blog hosted by the Society for Scholarly Publishing, whose focus is the advancement of scholarly publishing and communication as well as professional development through education, collaboration, and networking. What more is a kitchen for than collaboration and networking?

Those affiliated with the blog are well credentialed in the publishing world, and from my reading, they care about the most important issues debated in the corridors of academe. Of course, there are opportunities for comment postings for any of the blog's content.
