With the publication of this issue, I am proud to present to you the scholarship and creative writing of eleven authors. These polymath scholars and writers pay tribute to the memory of Frederick Douglass with their commitment to continuing the work that social justice demands: sedulous resolve to be voices for freedom and the liberation of the human spirit. In this General Issue of the Journal, you will find reviews, research, and poems that resound with the wisdom of Frederick Douglass.
