Article excerpt

We are excited to distribute the spring 2014 issue of the Journal of Adult Education. It has been a learning curve and took us a bit longer to get up to speed than anticipated. Though this issue is a bit delayed, I assure you we are already in the process of building the next issue to have available in the fall.

It is with pleasure that I take on the role of Editor of this Journal, and I hope that I will hear from many of you who have so much to share with your colleagues. I have two assistants who are invaluable in planning and editing for publication. Amanda Derengowski is a former educator and current professional writer and magazine editor working toward her doctorate in Education Sciences at Colorado State University. Cindy Cindrich, a doctoral candidate at Colorado State University, an academic coach, and researcher of youth professional development.

The second includes application articles. If you use a unique technique in your classroom, have developed a successful process for planning, or have an experience you want to share with your peers, I encourage you to write about it and send it in. If you are hesitant to write for publication, we are here to help you. Send us your ideas! For the third section, I hope to include a book review in each issue. …
