Evalution of Antifungal Activity the Bacillus Subtilis against Dermatophytes Fungi

Background: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the antifungal activity of B.subtilis culture filtration against derma- tophytes fungi.

Methods: Fifty soil samples were collected from so different part of Tehran and cultured on glucose yeast extract agar for isolate of B.subtilis. All isolated B.subtilis were screened for their ability to inhibit all fungi growth using the dual culture on medium GYA on base visual agar plate assay, then of B.subtilis culture filtration showed most remarkable antagonis- tic activites against fungi was prepared serial dilution and antagonistic activity amount was evaluated. The results were analyzed using the SPSS software program.

Results: Totally 38B.subtiliswere obtained from soil samples that showed antagonistic activites against fungi. Bacteria cul- tured filtrated was able to inhibition more than 50% related to the evaluated fungi. …
