Antibacterial Effect of Aqueous Extracts Medicinal Plants on Standard Strains

Background: In recent years, it is recommended to use nat- ural materials, instead of chemically synthesized drugs with undesirable side effects, in the control and treatment of infec- tions. Increasing usage of medical plants for medical treat- ment made for this branch of complementary medicine a unique place.

Methods: The present research was done for studying of anti-microbial effect of aqueous extracts of some medicinal plants such as Securigera securidaca, Coriandrum satirum, Allium satirum, Salvia officinal, Eucalyptus globules, J uglans regia. Vitis vinifera, Viscum Album, Pyrus biosseriana on bacteria P. aeruginosa, E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumonia, Bacillus subtillis in invitro conditions by using disc diffusion and micro broth dilution methods and Mini- mum inhibitory concentrations (MIC) and minimum bacteri- cidalconcentration (MBC) of aqueous extracts plant have been evaluatead. …
