Call for Applications for CCCC Studies in Writing and Rhetoric (SWR) Series Editor: The Conference on College Composition and Communication invites applications for a five-year appointment as editor of the Studies in Writing and Rhetoric (SWR) series. SWR supports the mission of CCCC in its publication of monograph-length works from a variety of theoretical and research perspectives on current topics or concerns within composition studies.

Working with an editorial board appointed by the CCCC officers, the SWR editor solicits and reviews manuscripts, then works with authors to develop and prepare accepted projects into production-ready form for the publication staff. The current CCCC budget permits publishing two to three monographs a year. CCCC provides partial support for the office of editor; the amount of support will be negotiated with the finalist. In addition, the editor is a member of the CCCC Editors' Team, which meets face-to-face at the CCCC Convention and, occasionally, online.

The CCCC officers request that a detailed application dossier be submitted by February 10,2015, to Kurt Austin, NCTE Publications Director, at kaustin@, including 1) a CV; 2) a statement of interest and qualifications; 3) a statement of vision for the series; and 4) a preliminary description of possible support from the nominee's home institution (for example, reassigned time, space, clerical or assistantship support, travel funding, and so on), to comple- ment the support available from CCCC. Applicants must be CCCC members.

Based on those materials, the officers will interview a group of finalists at the CCCC Convention in Tampa in March 2015. The term of the current editor (Victor Villanueva of Washington State University) will expire in June 2016. We anticipate that the new editor will be announced in the summer of 2015. This allows for a transitional year for the new editor to work with the current editor. The position formally begins July 1, 2016.

Call for Nominations:The 2015 CCCC Nominating Committee invites nomina- tions for the posts of CCCC Assistant Chair, Secretary, Executive Committee member (seven members), and 2016 Nominating Committee (five members). The Nominating Committee seeks to identify CCCC members who are com- mitted to the organization and willing to do its work. The post of Assistant Chair involves a four-year commitment, beginning in December 2015. During the first year of the term, the Assistant Chair also serves as Program Chair for the 2017 CCCC Convention. He or she becomes Associate Chair (December 2016), Chair (December 2017), and Immediate Past Chair (December 2018). The Secretary will serve a four-year term as an officer of the CCCC Executive Committee beginning in December 2015. Members of the Executive Committee are expected to make a three-year commitment to serving CCCC, beginning in December 2015. …
