A Note from the Editor

The transition to the new focus of School Libraries Worldwide is taking longer than expected, but we are moving forward. The challenge is for you, our readers, to share your research with us. The number of research articles being submitted and currently in the review process has been slowly and gradually increasing, but we will need to find more research articles if we are meet our goal of having the major part of each issue of the journal focused on current research.

The new format has been warmly received by readers. Thank you to Executive Director Penny Moore for her leadership in shaping the new look. The theme sections for the last issue and for this issue are very strong. This is due to the excellent work of Theme Editor Gary Hartzell on "The Multiple Dimensions of Principal Involvement" and Theme Editor Judy O'Connell on "Extending the Reach of the School Library." As I write this note, I am delighted to say that I have in hand the theme section for the next issue, prepared by Theme Editor Julie Tallman on "Reading in the Age of Harry Potter. …
