Article excerpt

First, I would like to take this opportunity to express my great appreciation and respect for my predecessor in the role of JHM editor, Dr. Steve O'Connor. In his five years as editor, Dr. O'Connor elevated and made JHM increasingly impactful and relevant to academic researchers and healthcare practitioners. Dr. O'Connor also generously gave substantial time and energy to prepare me for my new role as editor of the journal. I want to express my deepest gratitude to Dr. O'Connor and plan on continuing his legacy of publishing high-quality, multidisciplinary, and practice-relevant healthcare management research articles. I look forward to working with the outstanding team at ACHE, the JHM editorial board, authors, reviewers, and other contributors.
