NADE, the largest professional organization in the field of developmental education, has more than 3,000 members and is served by an executive board that provides leadership; helps shape the national narrative on developmental education; promotes innovation and reform; and represents the membership through participation in national and international conferences, summits, webinars, consultation, and panels. This year the board has represented the organization in many places, including the National Conference of State Legislatures, the Forum for Access and Continuing Education, the National College Learning Center Association, the College Reading & Learning Association, the Association ofTutoring Professionals, the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development, the American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges, and the National Summit on Integrated Reading and Writing.

The executive board has also overseen many internal organizational accomplishments including cosponsoring the National Integrated Reading and Writing Summit, updating the NADE logo and marketing materials, beginning the process to update the NADE web site, adding a new state chapter, and providing many keynote addresses at state and regional developmental education conferences. NADE has provided workshops on topics such as student retention, using data to improve student success, implementing change in developmental education, integrated readingand writing, redesign, and reading and writing across the curriculum. …
