Article excerpt

Dear Readers,

With this issue the Journal of Philosophical Economicsis undergoing certain positive changes. In the first place, the Journal will now be jointly published in association with an emerging International University 'DIU Libertas' (Croatia). Secondly, our editorial team is being expanded by some new names i.e. professor emeritus Soumitra Sharma - an economist of international repute (Juraj Dobrila University of Pula); professor Luka Brkic - a known political scientist (University of Zagreb); Kresimir Zigic - an associate professor of economics (CERGE-EI, Prague). Thirdly, while I, Valentin Cojanu will remain at the helm as Founding and Executive Editor; Stipe Buzar (DIU Libertas, Zagreb), is taking over as the new Managing Editor of the journal. The Journal will continue to be published by the Bucharest University of Economic Studies in cooperation with DIU Libertas.

Thanks are due to all who have contributed to the journal either by submitting their scholarly work or as blind referees, editorial assistants and others. However, with the help of our renewed team and joint publisher, we further aspire to keep the JPE a recognizable brand in the field.

I must also add that the journal has undergone a slight change in its name as well, as the added subtitle Reflections on Economic and Social Issues, sends a message to all our prospective authors that we would keep entertaining high quality scholarly work on philosophical, social, political and economic issues. …
