There's a proverbial new kid on the block! Please join me in welcoming Ann M. Ebberts - who joined the AG A family as chief executive officer and publisher of the Journal of Government Financial Management (Journal) as of October 1,2014.

Ann has been a member of AGA for 15 years and brings a wealth of experience, a fresh perspective and new ideas. I encourage you to read "Final Entry," where Ann shares her initial observations atthe helm and future plans for the organization (see page 60).

As publisher, she appreciates the rich history the Journal has earned both as a quality, peer-reviewed publication and as a valuable resource within the financial management community. We lookforward to leveraging Ann's experience as we build upon past successes to enhance and enrich thattradition, and explore new opportunities to further elevate AGA as a thought leader.

With help and guidance from the Journal Editorial Board (see list at right), we're continuously focused on the interests and needs of our readers, the dynamic environment of our profession, and those people and issues influencing the future of governmentfinancial management. This brings about change. For example, "Controller's Corner" and "Inside the Huddle" now rotate - among federal, state and local government, as well as academia and private-sector - so we can share different perspectives on relevant issues impacting the governmentfinance profession. …
