Ian Short's Manual has been an essential tool for editors and readers of Anglo-Norman text since its publication in 2007. The current revision leaves intact the structure and substance of the first edition: the new features concern some adjustments of the linguistic description based on the most relevant reviews and an excursus on the Bodleian MS Digby 23, the Oxford Chanson de Roland (a revised version of the study first published in Fa Chanson de Roland/The Song of Roland: The French Corpus, ed. J. J. Duggan, Turnhout, 2005).
