She found the collapsing collection both alluring and perturbing, with touches of arousing, polarizing, captivating, and tedious, depending on whether the closest statue remained erect, tilted toward or away from her slightly or drastically, or had fallen, and whether it represented a god, a goddess, a man with a weapon, a girl becoming an animal, or an animal becoming a girl.
