This is another example of fantastic Chinese printing quality. The cover is carved, the interior pages are bi-colored, the interior paper is thick enough for half-black pages to come out as good as the white-background pages. With some American-printed titles, black-colored pages curl a bit, and otherwise seem over-burdened by the addition of the color ink to the majority of the surface.

But, on to the book itself. Sadly, the author, Tim Federle, clearly did not visualize me when he wrote this book. The back cover announces, "We know your type. You love the smell of napalm in the morning, you see dead people, and you're the king (or queen!) of the world. No matter your cinematic stripe, there's a beverage (or ten) tailor-made just for you." I drink alcohol once a year, or occasionally skip a year without a sip of this beverage. How did I end up with this book? I think there was a reading where ten authors all gave away signed copies of their books and that's how I got seem missmarketed titles. While I probably will use the cookbook mentioned above, I am certain that I will never attempt to make "dirty harry martini" or any of the other curious drinks described in this book. It is possible that if I could make fruity drinks at home, I would drink more alcohol because I prefer these mixed drinks (when I get them in a bar or restaurant) to the bottled wine or Champaign that I have grown tired of drinking so that I pretty much never buy these. …
