As I've written before on this Page, the Energy Law Journal is a key source for the history of energy law and policy. Beginning in 1980, the ELJ has charted the dynamic and, at times, incremental changes in this critical industry and become a well-recognized forum for the exploration of cutting-edge energy issues.

The Journal serves an important function as chronicler for the Energy Bar Association. In this volume, we begin the tradition of publishing the names of former Presidents of the Association, the Foundation of the Energy Law Journal, and the Charitable Foundation of the Energy Bar Association.

In addition, we publish In Memoriams for esteemed members of the EBA. Since 1986, dozens have been published but never have so many been published in one volume. We honor now the lives of four vibrant individuals who made significant and numerous contributions to the field of energy law: Judge Richard (Dick) Cudahy; Karen Hill; Andrew Soto; and Frank Saponaro. …
