WINNER OF WORLD MARXIAN ECONOMICS AWARD (2015): The World Marxian Economics Award 2015 Was Granted to Qiyuan Xiang

Qiyuan Xiang is a research fellow of economics at the Institute of Economics, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, China. He has been doing a long-term study of Marxist economics and got outstanding achievements and contributions on the preliminary stage of socialism, the distribution according to labor, the reform and development of the state-owned economy theories, and so on. From the perspective that integrates the "five-stage model" and the "three-stage model," he illuminated more accurately the scientific content of the preliminary stage of socialism. He also clarified that the consolidated process of distribution according to labor must be accomplished through two levels of labor measurement at the preliminary stage of socialism. At the first level, we have the net output value as achieved by enterprises, which can be called "combined socially recognized labor time," which expresses the collective contribution of laborers to the society. …
