this PLJ issue includes one essay on silenced books in the USSR by Nataliya Shpylova-Saeed. The poetry includes is written with different forms by a diverse group of poets: Roxana Cazan (English professor at Saint Francis University in Pennsylvania), Louis Gallo (professor at Radford University) and Brian Glaser (assistant professor of English at Chapman University). Dozens of detailed and honest book reviews are offered for recent releases from major publishers in both fiction and non-fiction from the Editor, Anna Faktorovich. There are several unique short fiction stories in the last section from: Joel Allegretti, Jacques Carrié, Will Lahneman, Tom Tolnay, Fred Waage and Anton Yakovlev on everything from assassinations to dinners and jobs.

PLJ is now in the middle of its eighth year, so I have decided to split it in half to lighten its growing weight. I previously published both film and literature projects in PLJ, but now PLJ will be solely for literature in all its genres, while all other visual and audio mediums of expression will be discussed in Anaphora's new journal, Cinematic Codes Review (CCR). This will encourage me to write more film reviews for CCR, and to find other projects that go beyond the literary. It also means that submissions are especially welcomed as I work to put on weight to the new journal so that it competes with this one.

I have spent this entire spring writing and publishing books from home, in contrast with the travel-heavy year that transpired before it. As a result three of my books have moved forward, whereas in the previous year they were somewhat stagnant. Battle for Democracy, my historical novel about a group of WWII veterans that violently rebellion against corruption in Tennessee has finally been edited and sent out for review, and will come out tomorrow, May 2, 2016. …
