Best wishes of a happy new year for our readers and clients.

This is the first issue of our journal's vol. LXIV (2016). It comprises five research papers, a review article, a report about the recently held 25th International Pakistan History Conference and an index of the issues of 2015.

Dr. Muhammad Reza Kazimi (Pakistan) has presented a comparative and critical study of the historical account of Sher Shah by modern scholars in his article entitled "Sources into Monograph - A Case Study of Sher Shah".

Pakistan's constitutional history is replete with centre-provincial tensions and issues generally found in all the federal systems. Dr. Naumana Kiran (Pakistan) discusses the problems pertaining to Balochistan in her article "Balochistan and the Federal Cabinet of Pakistan, 1947-1977".

Dr. Lubna Kanwal (Pakistan) also presents a case study of Punjab under the rule of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto in her article "Centre-Provinces Relations under the Constitution of 1973 - The Role of Punjab During Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Era".
