This last issue of the 2015 of the Journal of the Pakistan Historical Society (Historicus) comprises various facets of our history.

Professor Michel Boivin (France) in his interesting article "A Note on the Khudâwâdî - A Vanishing Script of Sindh" which at one time was favoured for the Sindhi language, discusses its present position. One may ask why the British were interested in replacing the already prevalent nasta 'llq script used for both Persian and Sindhi. Maybe like their encouragement for the Devanagari script they wanted this scriptural change in Sindh for weaning away the locals, called derisively as natives from their old moorings.

From Bangladesh Mohammad Zahidur Rahman discusses a rare manuscript of the 17th century about 'Alïvardï Khan entitled "A Study of Muzaffarnämah of Karam 'All".

Dr. Imrana Begum (Pakistan) has discussed another form of the Colonial era in her article "Durand Line - A legacy of the Colonial Rule" (1893-1970). …
