Programming update

CPHA has entered into discussions on a number of new initiatives that are related to the Association's priorities for children, environment, and infectious diseases.

Creating Safe, Supportive and Violence-free Physical and Social Environments for Children

CPHA has submitted a proposal to the Population Health Fund at Health Canada to undertake a project entitled "Creating Safe, Supportive and Violence-free Physical and Social Environments for Children." This 21-month project will offer support and assistance to communities in order to improve the safety and quality of children's natural, built and social environments at home, school and in the community. CPHA will produce a supplement to the Canadian Journal of Public Health (CJPH), and will hold a series of participatory workshops at the community level.
