THE AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF FAMILY AND CONSUMER SCIENCES VISION

We will be a vital collection of diverse individuals who as members and partners of AAFCS actively impact public policy issues affecting the quality of life, products we use, and businesses serving families and communities. As current members we will:

* become more active.

* find greater significance as a result of our collective work.

* become a unified voice influencing public policy decisions that affect our disciplines and careers.

More Active

We will keep the vision of a holistic and inter finard approach to education, product development, business, and daily personal life. This will enable us to see beyond specialization. We will practice asset building within our AAFCS organization.

We will find new structures and revitalize old ones so there is meaningful action and communication among members and with partners. Together we will establish a leadership career development path through involvement with AAFCS from the local to the international level.

Greater Significance

We will promote teams of diverse people from various disciplines to celebrate unique individual strengths while focusing action on complex issues outside of expert fields or careers. …
