With companies of over 1000 employees estimated to waste at least 2500 per day - that's more than Co.5 million annually - in fruitless searching for information, sophisticated knowledge management systems are essential for maximum profitability.

BAe needed to organise information from 300 Internet sites, the company's entire intranet, many large databases and 15,000 newsfeed stories each day.
