Funded by FIPSE/CAPES, the Consortium for International Advancement and Achievement partners are Western Illinois University; Arkansas State University; Jackson State Community College; Southeastern Community College; Universidade Estadual Paulista, Botucatu; and Universidade Estadual de Ponta Grossa is bringing together agricultural students and faculty of educational institutions, farmers, agribusinesses, and Rotary clubs to share technology and curriculum, and train a new generation of students. As a result of the FIPSE/CAPES program, WIU added two four-hour courses in Portuguese to its curriculum, and has added an agribusiness concentration to the MBA program (five new graduate courses have been conceived, created, and approved). …
