The Web site for the administration on aging lists successful community programs addressing issues of older adults. The site currently features the St. Ann Center for Intergenerational Care in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. St. Ann Center provides a full range of community-based health and educational services in one setting for children and frail adults, and serves as a resource and support for caregivers. The goal is to improve the quality of life for people of all ages in the community regardless of faith, culture, or ability to pay.

Adult Day Services

St. Ann Center provides a comfortable, dignified setting for persons with cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, cancer, stroke, and other health challenges. Personal care services are available to clients on a prearranged basis.

Alzheimer's Disease and Other Dementia Care

St. Ann Center's former day care facility, at 3221 South Lake Drive, is now called "Shepherd House." Personalized care for individuals with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia is provided. Programs and activities are individualized to provide for clients in early, middle, and late stages of Alzheimer's disease.
