Educators Using General Semantics

Article excerpt

CONTINUING in the tradition established by the late Mary Morain, ISGS VP for Membership, and continuing to build upon the data base established by former VP for Development Peter Christopher, we have continued to provide our annual g.s. educator's census. The size of this data base has again doubled over last year's entry. We have attempted to expand this base by several methods, including e-mail, snail mail, telephone survey, and word-of-mouth. As we time-binders know, the territory continually changes and the map no longer fits the territory. Many of our educators have retired. Some have changed institutions. Others teach general semantics formulations under very exotic rubrics. We hope to map these subtle changes in our annual census.

If you are an educator teaching general semantics or otherwise employing g.s. in your courses and your name and school do not appear on our list (or if we need to make corrections), please let us know. To do this, send an e-mail to David Maas, VP for Membership at , or contact the ISGS office at P.O. Box 728, Concord, CA 94522, Tel: 925 798-0311, Fax: 925 798-0312.
