THE IAM strives to recognise the success of its students across the globe.

It does this in a number of ways, including the ever-popular degree ceremonies, and the awarding of prizes to the best students in a number of categories.

One of the graduation ceremonies is hosted by Olympia College each year in Kuala Lumpur at which a large number of students from all parts of Malaysia graduate.

This freguently reflects the quality of the growing numbers of women who are breaking through that invisible barrier preventing women from reaching the upper echelons of management in Malaysia.

Krishnaveni Alagarie and Zuraidha Osman have begun to do just that. Out of thousands of IAM students worldwide, these two graduates from Olympia College were chosen to be the recipients of the Leonard W. Green Prize and the A.J. Shawcross Prize.

Len Green was a Chief Examiner for the IAM for many years and also held the position of Chairman of the Chief Examiners Committee.

He was the first Editor of the IAM Student Adviser publication and a Regional Education Adviser for the South East of England until he retired in May 2001. …
