C. Richard Miserendino has been appointed Associate Chief Judge in the Washington office of the National Labor Relations Board's Division of Judges, where he will assist the Chief Judge in administering that office. He will ultimately succeed Judge Richard Scully, who will be giving up his administrative duties later this year but will continue to serve as an administrative law judge. Judge Miserendino has been an NLRB judge since 1996.

William E. Doyle, Jr. has left his position as Deputy Director of the Department of Labor's (DOL) Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) and has joined the firm of Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP (Morgan Lewis) as a partner in its Washington, D.C. office. According to a statement issued by Morgan Lewis, Mr. Doyle will be a director in the firm's Morgan Lewis Resources (MLR) division. A source at the DOL has confirmed to CCH that Doyle left the OFCCP on June 1, 2005.

U.S. secretary of Labor Elaine L. Chao has announced that Assistant secretary of Labor for Veterans' Employment and Training Frederico Juarbe Jr. has submitted his resignation. Juarbe is departing his post at the Department of Labor May 31, 2005 to pursue other opportunities.

Prior to joining the Department of Labor, Juarbe served for 23 years as director of the National Veterans Service at the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. …
