Following dinner the meeting was called to order by President David Park at 8:00 p.m.

Upon recommendation of the President, the membership voted to waive the reading of the minutes of the last annual meeting since they had appeared in Shavings.

FINANCIAL REPORT

Toby Hall, Treasurer

Toby reported that the organization has received a clean audit from the firm of Adamowski and Adamowski. We ended the year with $355,957 v. $331,107 in 2002. He suggested that the $5,821 operating deficit is something we can live with for the short term. He also reported that the money market funds have been shifted to a Vanguard short-term corporate fund. Full details will appear in a future Shavings.

PRESIDENT'S REPORT

David Parke

David reported that Phil Cannon has resigned as 1st Vice President and that the Board of Directors has named Don Rosebrook as 1st Vice President and Bill Curtis as 2nd Vice President and that Phil Cannon was appointed to a three-year term as a Director.

He thanked the volunteers and singled out Ken clay and Linda Stanton who are leaving their chairs of the Research Grants Committee and Book Sales respectively.

He also thanked Judy McMillen for making arrangements for the annual meeting, Anne Wing for handling the dealer sales and Jim Macallum for directing the silent auction.
