We kick off this issue with Biag describing a research-practice partnership between a university and a district's fUll-service community schools promoting collaboration around data to better serve students and engage families. Next, Min, Anderson, and Chen present findings from an integrative research review on fUll-service community schools, concluding with recommendations for future research. Luter, Lester, Lochmiller, and Kronick present a picture of one particular community school's afterschool program, formed and implemented through partnership with a local university; they include the views of the participating students and their parents. Hauseman, Pollock, and Wang surveyed Ontario principals to investigate their collaborations with the community and how those opportunities affected their workloads.

The article by Bouchard and Berg shifts our attention to within the school and classroom, examining Canadian students' and teachers' thoughts on developing a sense of belonging in the late elementary/middle school years. Sibley and Brabeck review the literature on Latino immigrant students' education in the U.S., from early childhood up, with an emphasis on how family-schoolcommunity partnerships can support them. Next, Davis describes a school district's use of community conversations when their policy was in need of reform to address the disproportionate suspension of Black students. …
