This has been a good year for ISODC as well as the journal. We have sent several board members to the IODA conference in Stellenbosch, South Africa. These members not only had a great time but delivered a wonderful presentation. We are planning to go to the Jakarta conference of the AODN and are looking forward to being an integral part of this conference. The goal is to really be a true network organization for the field and bring groups of people together.

This quarter's journal begins with Asher Drory who is a Canadian business strategic management consultant and his framework for strategic organization development. His approach to the rapidly changing business environment is to use key data analytics to make the choices needed to make decisions using artificial intelligence and egalitarian cultures.

Following along with culture, Regina McClinton and Mark Schaub wrote a wonderful article focused on culturally competent graduates for success in diverse organizations. This university program maintains that participants who graduate from this program develop a cultural intelligence that allows these individuals to adapt to new situations readily.

The third article also talks about growth and future success. Julie Ballaro and Laura Polk in their article developing an organization for future growth using succession planning explores the critical role human resources department plays in developing and communicating an effective succession plan. …
