New Methods of Teaching and Learn-ing in Libraries by Ann Whitney Gleason is the eleventh book in a series discussing a range of topics that are important to health scienc-es librarianship. Rowman & Little-field, in conjunction with the Medical Library Association, is publishing and promoting this book series. Each book covers a different and pertinent aspect of librarianship, and Gleason chooses to address the need for reexamin-ing how librarians and patrons are teaching and learning.

The book consists of three dis-tinct parts: "Teaching and Learning Practices in Library Instruction," "Using Educational Technology to Scaffold Learning," and "Facilitat-ing Learning in Library Spaces."
