This volume of the Baltic Journal of Economics is the third one published in cooperation with Taylor & Francis. In the foreword to this volume, we would like to emphasize several important changes that were put in place this year and that are essential for the long-term development of the Journal.

First, thanks to the continuous support from our long-term sponsors - the Anne-Marie and Gustaf Anders Stiftelse för Medieforskning, and the Bank of Latvia, and thanks to our new benefactor - the Bank of Estonia, we were able to remove all Journal fees. From now on, the authors will no longer face any publication-related expenses, while the Journal will retain its open access status.

Second, several notorious and respected scholars from the Baltics and beyond joined our Editorial Board this year - we welcome new associate editors Janis Berzins (Norwegian Business School, Norway), Jaan Masso (University of Tartu, Estonia) and Alminas Zaldokas (Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong)! …
