Gender & Behaviour has continued to maintain its critical position as a major source of solution to numerous developmental problems across Africa and the wider world by extension. This special edition focuses on Development and Security Transformations within the African continent. The articles there-in outlines the place of violence, conflict, dehumanisation, human rights abuses, bad governance, family challenges, divorce, poverty and teenage pregnancy in undermining African development and security commonwealth. The volume considered the rights and privileges of not only the female and male gender but transgender people across different African societies.

I sincerely maintain that all germaine issues and solutions raised by African scholars and researchers across multiple disciplines and universities located in different regions of the continent will go a long way in shaping African developmental transformations towards a great future. …
